UPDATE: The Eagles will not be the only team without one of their biggest stars when they play the Dallas Cowboys Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. The Cowboys announced on their web site that CeeDee Lamb is out for the season with the shoulder injury that he sustained in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons. He had played very well since, catching 48 passes for 534 yards and two touchdowns. He had more than 100 yards receiving in the Cowboys’ last two wins over Carolina and Tampa Bay, but the team determined this week that the severity of Lamb’s injury had progressed and that he should not play in the team’s final two games. On the Eagles’ front, backup quarterback Kenny Pickett said he wearing protective padding on his ribs, but he should be good to go against the Cowboys if, as expected, Jalen Hurts cannot play.
On their official injury report, the Eagles listed wide receiver A.J. Brown as a limited practice participant as he continues to deal with a left knee injury. Linebacker Nakobe Dean (abdomen) and edge rusher Josh Sweat (ankle/rest) were also limited. As expected, Hurts and Will Shipley were listed as out as they remain in concussion protocol. Pickett (ribs) was listed as a full participant as were Britain Covey (neck) and Bryce Huff (wrist).
