There is a recall for broccoli sold at Walmart locations in 20 states due to potential listeria contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
California-based Braga Fresh issued a voluntary recall in conjunction with the FDA for the company’s 12-ounce bags of washed and ready-to-eat Marketside Broccoli Florets.
The vegetables have a sell-by date of Dec. 10, 2024, with a UPC listed on the back of the bag as 6 81131 32884 5 as well as a lot code listed on the front of the bag displayed as BFFG327A6.
No illnesses have been reported in connection to these vegetables, according to the FDA.
According to the recall notice, the listeria contamination was discovered during random sampling by Texas Health and Human Services at a Texas store location. Health officials found that several of the random samples tested positive for listeria.
