Robert Saleh might not be out of a head coach position for long.
Nearly three months to the day after he was fired by the Jets, Saleh is one of the names that has been requested to interview for the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching gig, the team shared on ‘X’ Tuesday afternoon.
Since being let go by the Jets following their 23-17 loss to the Vikings in London back in early October, Saleh joined the Green Bay Packers in advisory role under head coach Matt LaFleur a few weeks later.
Following Saleh’s departure, it was clear the Jets took a noticeable step back, losing nine of their final 12 games and the defense regressing drastically under interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich.
In 56 games as the Jets head coach, Saleh compiled a 20-36 record, with no playoff appearances in three full seasons before being fired five weeks into his fourth campaign with the organization.
