Dozens of New Jersey school districts have called for delayed openings Monday due to an overnight storm expected to drop snow and a coating of ice across northwestern counties.
The precipitation is expected to change to all rain as temperatures rise this morning, but the National Weather Service said the morning commute could be slick.
A winter weather advisory was issued for Morris, western Passaic and Sussex counties through this morning.
Wantage in Sussex County had picked up 4 inches of snow by 5 a.m. while Butler in Morris County had 3 inches on the ground, the National Weather Service said.
