Drone sightings, mostly over New Jersey, but in other states and foreign countries as well, have caused anxiety in many Americans, mostly because our government seems to be hiding the truth, However, in my opinion, even the Feds haven’t figured it out!
I don’t mean to sound like a conspiracy wing nut, but has anyone contemplated the possibility that it’s all about pizza?
New Jersey, indeed, makes the best pizza known to mankind! Perhaps this has something to do with Jersey tomatoes, or even water obtained from Garden State aquifers, but there seems to be many less tangible aspects to what we might consider a curious conundrum.
Drone sightings reported outside of New Jersey, I surmise, are diversions, red herrings leading federal and state gumshoes astray, slicing through haystacks with thousands of needles.
Cutting to the chase, I believe, thousands of drones are using high-tech detectors, transmitting invisible rays from state-of-the-art computers, targeting pizza shops throughout the state. They are ferreting out esoteric details, homemade recipes, secret ingredients, types of cheeses, rare spices, consistency of the dough, ideal temperatures and so on, as they are discussed among pizza makers in a highly clandestine quest to compile and analyze why New Jersey is numero uno in this most popular product.
I cannot say for sure if my theory is merely a “pie in the sky” whimsical notion, but if I am right, the culinary competitor’s mother ship launching the drones, either foreign or domestic, must be brought down.
I presume those who commit such an expensive cheesy operation “kneaded the dough,” but we can deal with their source of financing at a later date! No doubt the Dominos will fall if there is more than one source.

Next governor needs budget discipline
Three-term U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-11th Dist., has an impressive resume, one that is perfect for a Washington, D.C., insider. The problem with her running for governor in 2025 is that New Jersey does not need a Beltway person with national security bonafides as a governor.
New Jersey needs as governor a nuts-and-bolts person who knows state budget issues and how to get things done in Trenton in a fiscally responsible manner. Sherrill might learn how to deal with real budget issues eventually, but the state can’t afford to have an fiscal apprentice on the job.
The state is heading toward a fiscal cliff. The new Stay-NJ program, designed to bring senior citizens’ household property taxes down to 50% of the full amount, still has not been funded, and it carries an estimated $1.3 billion price. High overall property taxes also must be addressed. Sherrill should be considered to be a “Washington Way” politician, one who rarely considers fiscal responsibility.
Resumes are pretty documents, but they do not win elections. If a candidate like Sherrill wins the Democrats’ gubernatorial nomination, the party might be walking into the “shiny object” resume trap that will put a Republican in the governor’s chair.
Sherrill is good in Washington. She should stay there!
