Wide receiver has become a position of strength for Rutgers football, and on Wednesday it added more talent to the pipeline.
Elias Coke, a highly touted wide receiver from Harrisburg High School in Pennsylvania, announced that he had committed to the Scarlet Knights as part of the 2026 recruiting class, picking Rutgers from a top five that also included Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Miami.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Coke is a three-star prospect and the No. 13 overall recruit in his class (and the highest-ranked wide receiver) in Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s the 54th-ranked wide receiver prospect in the nation and No. 375 recruit in the nation.
Coke is the second member of Rutgers’ 2026 recruiting class, joining Virginia wide receiver Dyzier Carter.
The Scarlet Knights have a bevy of young wide receivers already on the roster, including Ian Strong, Benjamin Black, KJ Duff and Famah Toure. They added more in the 2025 recruiting class and are off to a good start for 2026.
Coke will have a chance to be developed by wide receivers coach Dave Brock and assistant wide receivers coach John Perry, both of whom have coach high-level players in the NFL – including Julion Jones and Calvin Ridley for Brock.
