I’ve got the Clippers (-175) taking this one in Inglewood, but I’ll take my wager to the spread with better odds.
Against the spread
BET CLIPPERS -3.5 (-115).
The Clippers have won 3 straight games and covered 5 of their last 6. They’ve been dominant at home as favorites, having gone 10-1 straight up in their new arena.
The Lakers may have won 2 in a row, both at Crypto.com Arena, but they’ve failed to cover 3 of their last 4 overall. Plus, the Clippers have owned this matchup lately, winning 7 of the last 10 meetings.
Defense is where the Clippers really shine; they’re 3rd in the NBA in points allowed (106.6), opponent 3-point percentage (34%) and steals (9.8 per game). The Lakers, on the other hand, rank 18th in points allowed, giving up 113.8 per game.
With a small number to cover, I like the Clippers to keep their streak going and handle business Sunday night.

I’m leaning toward the Under in this game, but the number is pretty low for NBA standards, which makes me nervous. The trends are all over the place, too, so I’d rather just skip this one.
The O/U is 5-5 in the last 10 meetings and 4-4 in the Lakers’ last 8 games overall. That said, the Clippers defense is 10-3 to the Under in its last 13 games.
I’m staying away from this bet, but if you’re looking for action, the Under feels like the smarter move. Just don’t expect it to be a sure thing.
