Super Bowl 59 is officially set.
It’ll be the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles facing off at Caesars Superdome on Feb. 9 with the victor hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
Championship weekend got started in the City of Brotherly Love, with the Eagles taking down the red-hot Washington Commanders, scoring sevens touchdowns on the ground and rushing for 229 yards in a dominant 55-23 victory over their NFC East counterparts.
The Chiefs’ quest to become the first NFL team to ever win three consecutive Lombardi trophies continues after a thrilling 32-29 victory over the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night.
This marks the second time in three years that Kansas City and Philadelphia will play with the Lombardi Trophy on the line. The first meeting came when the Chiefs defeated the Eagles, 38-35, at State Farm Stadium in Arizona on Feb. 12, 2023.
