Park Ridge senior Allie Shenloogian became the 126th New Jersey girls basketball player to score 2,000 career points in the Owls’ 58-35 win against Cresskill on Tuesday in Park Ridge.

There could be several other 2,000-point scorers in the sport later this winter, which makes this an appropriate time for USA TODAY NETWORK New Jersey to unveil its all-time list of Garden State girls to achieve the milestone.
‘2K Club’ overview
In the summer of 2024, NorthJersey.com set out to compile a definitive list of all the varsity girls basketball players to score at least 2,000 career points in the Garden State.
Research involved consulting lists published on other USA TODAY NETWORK New Jersey sites, as well as a thorough combing of the network’s archives available on Newspapers.com. School athletic administrators, yearbooks available on Classmates.com, even gym banners and trophy cases served as helpful resources, too.
This enables us to present the list with 99 percent accuracy. If you spot an omission or an error, please contact the Varsity Aces.
The parameters for the N.J. Girls 2K Club:
► A player must have scored 2,000 points while attending a four-year New Jersey high school – regardless of NJSIAA membership – in grades 9 through 12. In the case of schools that permit varsity players from eighth grade or earlier, only the freshman through senior seasons count. Examples are noted herein.
► For players who transferred to/from other states, only points scored while competing for their New Jersey school are counted. Although this may disqualify a career 2,000-point scorer whose out-of-state stats put them over the threshold, honorable mention will be given to such players.
Example: Sydney Morang of New Providence scored 1,777 points in her freshman through junior years (2012-15), but she did not complete her career total of 2,030 until senior year at IMG Academy in Florida.
