Moneyline
PASS.
This game is a little too tight for me to play around with the moneyline. I like the Grizzlies (-165) to get the win, but it will likely come down to the final possession. I’ll take my wager to the spread.
Against the spread
BET SPURS +3.5 (-110).
This matchup is tricky to handicap, as the Grizzlies have dominated this series by winning 9 of the last 10 meetings. However, the Spurs have covered the spread in 7 of those 10 games and won their most recent meeting in April 2024.
San Antonio returns home after a tough road trip, boasting a solid 12-8 record at home, while Memphis is 10-10 on the road. This is the first game of a back-to-back in San Antonio, and the Grizzlies are in the middle of a grueling 4-game road trip, playing 4 games in 6 days.
Given the circumstances, I love taking the points at home with the Spurs in what should be a competitive game.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 237.5 (-105).
This line feels a bit too high, probably because Memphis is known for putting up points. But the Under has hit in the last 3 matchups between these teams, and the Spurs have gone Under in 5 of their last 6 games.
I think San Antonio will try to slow things down and avoid getting into a fast-paced game with the Grizzlies. The Under seems like a solid call here.
