With the LA Rams upsetting the Minnesota Vikings 27-9 as 2.5-point underdogs in Glendale, Ariz., Monday night, the Divisional Round is now set.
The Houston Texans (10-7) and Kansas City Chiefs (15-2) open the round Saturday with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m. ET from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. In a Dec. 21 meeting, the Chiefs beat Houston 27-19, covering as 3.5-point home favorites with the Over (42.5) cashing. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was 28-of-41 for 260 passing yards with 1 TD and rushed for another score, even though he had sprained his ankle the week before.
The Detroit Lions (15-2) host the Washington Commanders (12-5) in the Saturday nightcap. Detroit opened as an 8.5-point favorite, but has been steamed up to -9.5 at BetMGM Sportsbook, as of Tuesday afternoon. The Lions have covered 3 straight games, all as favorites of 2.5 or more points.
Sunday’s action kicks off with the Rams (10-7) at the Philadelphia Eagles (14-3). In a Nov. 24 meeting, the Eagles routed LA 37-20 as 3-point road favorites while the Over (48.5) hit. Eagles RB Saquon Barkley rushed for a franchise-record 255 yards and scored twice in the victory.
Later in the day, the Baltimore Ravens (12-5) visit the Buffalo Bills (13-4) to wrap up the weekend. Baltimore is 5-0 straight up and against the spread in its last 5 games. It has gone from a +105 underdog Sunday afternoon to a -120 favorite as of this publishing — the only road favorite in the Divisional Round.
