The NFC Championship game is an NFC East showdown as the No. 2-seed Philadelphia Eagles face the No. 6-seed Washington Commanders with the winner moving on to Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans on Feb. 9.
Led by Saquon Barkley — the likely winner of this year’s NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award — the Eagles have cruised to two home playoff victories in a 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers in the wild card round, and a 28-22 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round last weekend.
The Commanders went into Tampa Bay and defeated the Buccaneers, 23-20, during wild-card weekend and then pulled off a massive upset in a 45-31 win over the top-seeded Detroit Lions in the divisional round.
These two divisional foes split their two regular-season meetings, with the Eagles coming out on top with a 26-18 win over Washington in Week 11, and the Commanders returning the favor with a 36-33 victory over Philadelphia in Week 16, where Eagles QB Jalen Hurts left the game with a concussion and missed the final two games of the regular season.
Can Washington continue its magic behind rookie QB Jayden Daniels and advance to the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years? Or will Philly come out on top represent the NFC in the Super Bowl for the second time in three seasons?
