The NFL Wild Card round is almost over as there’s one final game between the No. 4 seed Los Angeles Rams (10-7) and No. 5 seed Minnesota Vikings (14-3).
After each of the first four games featured the home team winning by double digits, the first upset came last night, with the Commanders defeating the Buccaneers 23-20 on a 37-yard game winning field goal that hit the right post and went in, giving Washington its first playoff win in 19 years.
With all but one game in the books, the Divisional Round is officially set: Chiefs vs. Texans at 4:30 p.m. and Lions vs. Commanders at 8 p.m. on Jan. 18. The next day will feature the Eagles vs. winner of Rams/Vikings at 3 p.m. then the Bills vs. Ravens at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.
Now, the Vikings and Rams take center stage in Arizona after the game was moved late last week due to the wildfires in Los Angeles.
Despite a 14-3 record, Minnesota fell all the way to the No. 5 seed after 31-9 loss in the regular season finale to the Detroit Lions.
On the opposing sideline, the Rams are hosting this playoff game after winning the NFC West with a 10-7 record.
